🇺🇸 Flags Over La Porte City
Show your patriotic pride and support your community with the La Porte City Lions Club’s “Flags Over La Porte City” program!
For just $50 per year, the La Porte City Lions Club will install and maintain a high-quality American flag at your property on five national holidays:
- Memorial Day
- Flag Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
How It Works
- A permanent PVC sleeve will be installed flush with the ground at your property, making flag setup easy and safe while allowing you to mow over it without obstruction.
- The La Porte City Lions Club will call Iowa One Call (811) to locate public underground utilities such as gas and electrical lines.
- Homeowners are responsible for marking private underground items, such as sprinkler systems, invisible dog fences, or private lighting, prior to our arrival.
- Flags are placed 1–2 days before each holiday and removed 1–2 days after.
- If weather conditions are poor, we allow the flag to dry before pickup to maintain its condition.
- The flag and pole remain the property of the La Porte City Lions Club and will be cared for and replaced as needed.

All funds raised go directly back into our community through Lions Club projects and donations to local organizations and causes.

- After this date, participation may be limited. Spaces are filled first come, first serve.
