2026 Flags Over La Porte City Schedule
For our subscribers, here is when you can expect your flag to be flying in 2026. Dates indicate the approximate window when flags will be installed and removed.
- Memorial Day: May 21 – May 26, 2026
- Flag Day: June 12 – June 15, 2026
- Fourth of July: July 2 – July 6, 2026
- Labor Day: September 7, 2026
- Veterans Day: November 11, 2026

🎉 LPC Lions Game Night Series
Join us for evenings of fun and friendly competition! Doors open at 6:00 PM.

The Impact of La Porte City Lions Club Events
When you attend La Porte City Lions Club Events, you are doing more than just having a good time—you are directly supporting our community. Proceeds from our fundraisers allow us to provide scholarships, maintain park facilities, and assist neighbors in need.
🩸 Lifesaving Blood Drives
One of our most critical service projects is our bi-monthly blood drive. Hosted at the LPC Legion from 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM, these events collect hundreds of units of blood for local hospitals each year.
2025-26 Drive Dates: August 13, October 8, December 10, February 11, April 8, and June 10.
🎓 Supporting Our Youth
We are proud to invest in the next generation. A portion of the funds raised from our Flags Over La Porte City program and pancake breakfasts goes directly toward scholarships for graduating seniors at Union High School. We believe in empowering our local youth to pursue their educational dreams.
🔔 Holiday Giving (Bell Ringing)
Every December, our members brave the cold to ring bells for the Salvation Army at Thriftway. It is a tradition we cherish. This year, we will be ringing on December 12 (3 PM – 8 PM) and December 13 (10 AM – 6 PM). Stop by to say hello and drop a donation in the bucket!
🦁 Membership Meetings & Socials
Are you interested in helping plan future La Porte City Lions Club Events? We hold our regular meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from September through April. In the summer (May through August), we switch to the 3rd Thursday of the month.
All meetings start at 6:00 PM and are usually held at the LPC Legion or Golf Club. We also host special “Spouse’s Night” events in July and January to celebrate the families that support our Lions.
